His children, Sharon, Hazel, Niall, Barry, and Keith, hold cherished memories of a devoted father who always put family first. From the fond recollections of his years as a skilled cutter at Waterford Crystal to heartfelt stories shared by neighbours in Larchville, Tom’s life was marked by his quiet strength and unwavering love for those around him.

Friends from the old Tech in Parnell Street remember him fondly, while neighbours note the deep bond he shared with his late wife, May, who he is now reunited with. Late of Larchville, Waterford City, formerly of Waterford Crystal. Thomas passed peacefully in University Hospital Waterford surrounded by his loving family on Saturday the 14th of December 2024 RIP.
Thomas is predeceased by his beloved wife May; his grandson baby Adam; his parents Tommy and Catherine; and his sister Kathleen.
Thomas will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken children Sharon, Hazel, Niall, Barry, and Keith; his adoring grandchildren Abbie, Shannon, Leah, Sophie, Luke, Emily, Davia, Conor, and Maya; his sons-in-law Jim and Kieran; daughters-in-law Elaine, Levena, and Kellie; brothers Willie, John, and Albert; and his sisters Anne and Joan. He will be forever missed by all his extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours, and many many friends.
The Fitzgerald family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff of University Hospital Waterford and the staff of Tramore Nursing Home for the tender care Thomas received throughout his illness.

Thomas will be reposing at Falconer’s Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Monday the 16th of December from 5pm to 7pm.

Thomas’s Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday the 17th of December, at 10am at St. Paul’s Church, Lisduggan, Waterford City. Immediately after, Thomas will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner. Anyone wishing to take part in Thomas’s Requiem Mass remotely please follow the link here.
Thomas’s Funeral cortege will walk from his family home at approximately 09:20 to arrive for his Requiem Mass at 10:am.
