Family and friends lovingly remember Chrissie as a kind-hearted, joyful soul who brightened every room she entered. As a devoted wife to John and a caring mother to Johnny and Steve, Chrissie’s love and support were always felt by those closest to her. Her sense of humour and warm smile left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her grandson Jay, along with Johnny’s wife Kathy and Steve’s partner Anita, will forever cherish their memories of her gentle nature and unwavering kindness. Chrissie’s relatives, nieces, nephews, and all those who crossed her path will remember her for the laughter she shared and the love she gave unconditionally.
Chrissie’s love for her community in Moonvoy, Tramore, extended beyond her family. Friends and neighbours fondly recall her spirit of hospitality and the meaningful moments they shared. She was a woman who lived for family, faith, and friendship, always ready for a chat or a sing-along during cherished social gatherings.
Late of Moonvoy, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Chrissie passed peacefully at University Hospital Waterford surrounded by her loving family on Thursday the 17th of October 2024 RIP.
Predeceased by her adored infant son Stephen, her beloved parents Pierce and Margaret her sisters Joan and Maura and her brothers Mattie, Ted and Michael.
Chrissie will be sadly missed by her heartbroken husband John, her loving sons Johnny and Steve; Johnny’s wife Kathy and Steve’s partner Anita; her adoring grandson Jay, her brothers-in-law and her sisters-in law. She will be forever missed by all her nieces and nephews all her relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many friends.
The Power family would like to thank with great appreciation all the HSE Carers, the Clannad Carers, all the Medical staff in Medical 3 and Medical 5 and The Oak Ward Staff in University Hospital Waterford for the exceptional and loving care Chrissie received throughout her illness.

Chrissie will be reposing at Falconer’s Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford, on Sunday, the 20th of October, from 6pm to 8pm.

Chrissie’s Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, the 21st of October, at 10am at The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Chrissie’s Funeral cortege will pass her residence in Moonvoy at approximately 09:30 and will walk from Tramore Credit Union/Lodges Corner at approximately 09:40am (weather permitting) to arrive for her Requiem Mass at 10am.
