Family and friends remember Margaret (Ita) O’Reilly as a warm-hearted, joyful presence who touched the lives of everyone she met. Tributes from loved ones highlight her years of dedicated service as Sacristan at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Fenor and the joy she brought to those around her. Margaret always had a smile and a kind word, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Fond memories shared include summers spent visiting Margaret in Fenor, her deep connection with her family, and her unwavering ability to brighten any room with her laughter. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose dedication to her family was evident in every interaction. Margaret’s passing leaves a deep sense of loss, but her loving spirit will remain a source of inspiration for all who were fortunate to know her.
Late of Islandkeane, Fenor, Co. Waterford. Former Sacristan to The Church of the Immaculate Conception Fenor. Margaret passed peacefully at University Hospital Waterford surrounded by her loving family on Monday the 9th of December 2024. RIP.
Margaret is predeceased by her daughter Eileen, parents Paul and Mary Hayes, brother William and sister Nora.
Margaret will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Aiden; her sons Aiden and Paul; her adoring grandchildren Lorna, Mark, Eoin, Aoife, Jenna, Jason, Rebecca, Ciara and Darren; her great-grandchildren Isabelle, Robyn, Ellie and Conor; her daughters-in-law Elaine and Sandra and her son-in-law Liam. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Maudie, Agnes, Delia and Sheila. She will be sorrowfully missed by all her extended family, relatives, neighbours and many many friends.
The O’Reilly family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff of University Hospital Waterford and the South East Palliative Care Centre,Oak Ward for the tender care they gave Margaret..

Margaret will be reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Thursday the 12th of December from 5pm to 7pm.
All are welcome.
Margaret’s Requiem Mass will take place on Friday the 13th of December, at 11:30am at The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Fenor, Co. Waterford. Immediately after Margaret will be laid to rest in the adjoining Cemetery
Margaret’s Funeral cortege will walk from Mother McHugh’s Pub Fenor at approximately 11:15am to arrive for her Requiem Mass at 11:30am.
