Family and friends remember Geraldine as a kind, warm, and welcoming person whose infectious smile and sense of humour touched the lives of all who knew her. A true lady, Geraldine had an incredible ability to make everyone feel at ease, whether it was through her years working in Hasbro, her dedication to Tramore Golf Club, or the countless conversations she shared with friends and visitors. Her generosity, thoughtfulness, and professionalism made her a much-loved presence in the community. Tramore Golf Club, where she was a beloved administrator and a wonderful ambassador, will never be the same without her, as she greeted every visitor with kindness and a genuine smile.
Her family, her colleagues, and the many golfers and friends she made over the years will miss her dearly. Those closest to her recall her quick wit, her caring nature, and the way she always had time for a chat. Geraldine’s legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and the deep connections she built with those around her. As her family and friends grieve her loss, they take comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the outpouring of love from all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Late of St Otterans Terrace, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Administrator of Tramore Golf Club. Geraldine passed peacefully in the Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford surrounded by her loving family on Thursday the 6th of February 2025 RIP.
Predeceased by her beloved parents, Johnny and Kathleen.
Geraldine will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters, Thomas, Bernadette, Peter, Mary, Martin, Monica, and Madeleine. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law and her aunts. She will be forever missed by all her nieces and nephews, her grandnephew, Leon, relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours, and many many friends.
The Carbery family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff in the Oak Ward and all medical staff in University Hospital Waterford for the exceptional care and kindness Geraldine received throughout her illness.

Geraldine will be reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Saturday the 8th of February from 3pm to 6pm.

Geraldine’s Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday the 9th of February, at 11am at The Church of The Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Immediately after, Geraldine will be laid to rest in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Tramore. Anyone wishing to take part in Geraldine’s Requiem Mass remotely please follow the link here.
Geraldine’s funeral cortège will pass her residence in St. Otterans Terrace at approximately 10:35 and will then walk from Lodges Corner, Tramore Credit Union, at approximately 10:40 am to arrive for her Requiem Mass.
