Family and friends remember Patrick (Paddy) Hennessy as a true gentleman, deeply devoted to his wife, Margaret, and their sons. Paddy’s warm and friendly nature endeared him to all who knew him, and his engaging conversations left lasting impressions. A talented musician, he was known for his sweet tones on the saxophone and clarinet, sharing his love for music with many. His passion for his pets was evident, reflecting his kind and caring disposition.
Paddy’s professional life as a painter showcased his dedication and work ethic, earning him respect among colleagues and clients alike. As a neighbor, he was always approachable, ready for a chat, and willing to lend a helping hand. His legacy of kindness, loyalty, and warmth will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Late of St. Peter’s Terrace, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Formerly of Poleberry and Barrack Street, Waterford City. Paddy passed peacefully in Tramore Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday the 5th of March 2025. RIP.
Predeceased by his beloved son Barry.
Paddy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Margaret, his loving sons and all their families, his nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many many friends.
The Hennessy family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff in Tramore Nursing Home for the exceptional care and kindness Paddy received throughout his time there.

Paddy will be reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Sunday the 9th of March from 4pm to 6pm.

Paddy’s Requiem Mass will take place on Monday the 10th of March, at 10am at The Church of The Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Immediately after, Paddy will be laid to rest in St Declan’s Cemetery, Tramore. Anyone wishing to take part in Paddy’s Requiem Mass remotely please follow the link here.
Paddy’s funeral cortège will walk from Lodges Corner, Tramore Credit Union, at approximately 09:40 am to arrive for his Requiem Mass.
