Family and friends remember Kevin Hayes as a true gentleman, renowned for his warmth, wit, and unwavering kindness. A native of Cork City, Kevin’s career with AIB spanned numerous locations, including Limerick and Clonmel, where he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike. His storytelling prowess and ability to bring joy to any gathering made him the best seat in any house, leaving lasting memories for all who had the pleasure of his company.
Beyond his professional life, Kevin was deeply devoted to his family. A loving husband to Elizabeth, he cherished their time together, often reminiscing about their shared adventures. His children, Máire, Tom, Jacqui, and David were his pride and joy, and he delighted in the accomplishments of his grandchildren: Seán, Connor, Caoimhe, Tadhg, Daisy, Rían, and Alannah. Kevin’s passion for golf and hurling, especially his allegiance to Cork hurling, was well-known, and he often engaged in spirited banter with friends over matches. His genuine interest in others, coupled with his generous spirit, ensured he was a beloved figure in every community he touched.
