Dick passed peacefully at University Hospital Waterford, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday the 11th of May 2025. RIP.
Predeceased by his parents Dan and Mamie and his brother Eugene.
Dick will be sadly missed by his loving wife Veronica, his children, Cian and Niamh, his adored and treasured grandchildren Jamie, Owen, Ben and Tessa; his daughter-in-law Nadia, his son-in-law Brian; his brother-in law Gerard and his sister-in-law Catherine. Dick will be forever remembered by his nieces Sandie and Carrie, relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many friends.
The Coveney family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff in the Pine Ward University Hospital Waterford and the staff in Tramore Nursing Home for the exceptional care and kindness Dick received throughout his illness.

Dick will be reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Wednesday the 14th of May from 5pm to 7pm.

Dick’s Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday the 15th of May, at 10am at The Church of The Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Immediately after, Dick will be laid to rest in St Declan’s Cemetery, Tramore. Anyone wishing to take part in Dick’s Requiem Mass remotely please follow the link below.
Dick’s funeral cortège will walk from Lodges Corner, Tramore Credit Union, at approximately 9:40 am to arrive for his Requiem Mass.
