Family and Friends Remember Michael Barry as a gentleman in the truest sense. Kind, honest, and deeply present to those around him. From the many tributes shared, one sentiment shines through beautifully: Michael carried himself with quiet dignity and always met people with a wave, a smile, and his full attention. To his beloved wife, Bee; his children Tadhg, Helen, Emma and Mícheál, and his adoring grandchildren, Michael was a steady hand, a loving heart, and the foundation of family life. As one neighbour simply put it, “He was a great neighbour, always greeted with a wave and a smile.”
Friends and neighbours have remembered Michael for his gentle presence and unwavering integrity. “A true gentleman,” many said, recalling a man whose warmth and calm could be felt in every encounter. His passing has stirred deep sadness across generations, from childhood friends to lifelong neighbours, and brought forward words filled with love, gratitude, and respect. As another message read, “He was such a lovely man.” That memory of a good man, deeply loved, will carry his family forward in the days ahead.
