Family and friends remember Kay O’Gorman as a kind, funny, and loving woman who always put others first. A proud Larchville native who made her home in Cooleen, Kill, Kay gave her heart to everything she did, especially to her family, her work in the Eye Unit at Ardkeen, and her close-knit community. She had time for everyone, a warm smile, and a great sense of humour. One friend fondly recalled her “in fancy dress as Harry Potter,” while another simply said, “She will be sadly missed, as she was greatly loved.”
Kay’s home was always open, and her presence made people feel safe, heard, and cared for. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was surrounded by love in return. Her family are especially grateful to the teams in Medical 4 and the Oak Ward at UHW for their care and compassion. As Kay joins her beloved husband Pat, may her gentle soul rest in peace, and may her memory continue to bring comfort to all who knew her.
