Family and friends remember Seán Brennan as a kind-hearted Tramore gentleman who cherished his family, loved his community, and always greeted others with warmth and good humour. Best known for Brennan’s Drapery at the Cross, Seán helped generations of locals find school uniforms, suits, and Sunday dresses, always with patience and a smile. As one friend shared, “Your dad was always so friendly… the joy of getting our school uniforms with unwavering courtesy every year.”
A devoted husband to Irene, and proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Seán’s real legacy lives on in his family. He walked proudly through Tramore, gave generously of his time to local causes, and served his community with dignity on the Tramore Town Commission. “He was more a social and community activist than a politician,” recalled one tribute, while another simply said: “He sleeps happy with what he leaves behind.” A true neighbour, a fair man, and a gentleman in every sense, he will be remembered for the respect he showed others and the deep pride he held for his hometown. The Brennan family invite all who knew Seán to remember him with love, pride, and gratitude.
