Family and friends remember Adrienne McGovern as a vibrant, creative and deeply loved woman whose warmth, humour and unmistakable style left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Late of Summerville Drive, Summerville Avenue, Adrienne was loved dearly by Hugh, Alma, Jaimie, Simon, Seren, Joseph and all her family. Those who knew her speak of “great energy, laughter and joy of life,” and remember her as “a very kind, fun person with so much character and energy.” These words capture the spirit of a woman who brought colour, honesty and life into the rooms she entered.
Adrienne is remembered for her creativity, her humour, her kindness and the way she made people feel seen. A former student described her as “a colourful and creative tutor with a great sense of humour and keen knowledge of all things arty,” while others remembered her as “full of fun and so stylish.” One tribute painted a beautiful picture of Adrienne’s presence, recalling her “amazing sense of style,” her “bright beautiful red lipstick,” and how her eyes would light up when she met you. She leaves behind memories of laughter, friendship, long conversations, art, adventure, kindness and a character that could never be mistaken for anyone else. May Hugh, Alma, Jaimie, Simon, Seren and all who loved Adrienne find comfort in the many memories she gave them, and in knowing that her colour, spirit and love will remain with them always.
