Colleagues from Lisheen Mine recall his wisdom and the warmth he extended to everyone, highlighting his loyal friendship and the high regard in which he was held. Beyond his professional life, Bill’s passion for table tennis was well-known; he not only played but also shared the joy of the game with his grandchildren, fostering a love for the sport across generations.

He liked nothing more than to have a good laugh with family and friends, followed by some quiet time with his extensive book collection or pottering in his garden.
