Family and friends remember Billy Ryan as a kind and gentle soul whose warmth touched everyone he met. A devoted husband to Margaret and a loving father to Carly, Thomas, William, and Mary, Billy’s greatest joy was his family. He cherished his grandchildren, finding immense pride in their accomplishments and delight in their company. Billy’s dedication to his family was unwavering, and his gentle nature made him a beloved figure in their lives.
Beyond his family, Billy was known for his exceptional baking skills, particularly his renowned brown bread and apple tarts. His creations were a staple in our community, and many of us will fondly recall the delicious aroma that accompanied his presence. A true gentleman, Billy’s friendly demeanor and willingness to share a chat endeared him to all. His legacy of kindness, culinary talent, and devotion to family and friends will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Now reunited with his beloved daughter Trina, Billy’s gentle soul rests in peace.
Late of Glen Road Tramore, Co. Waterford. Formerly of Kennedy Park, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Billy passed peacefully at University Hospital Waterford surrounded by his loving family on Saturday the 8th of March 2025. RIP.

Billy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Margaret, his loving children Carly, Thomas, William and Mary; his adored and treasured grandchildren Amy, Harry, Josh, Eva, Jamie, Nicky, James, Ella, Kaden, Maisie, Jaxen, Sadie and Cruz; his brother Mick and his sisters, Margaret, Betty and Theresa, his daughters-in-law Debbie and Katie, his sons-in-law Nicky, Dean and Michael. Billy will be forever remembered by his nieces and nephews, relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many friends.
The Ryan family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff in the Oak Ward University Hospital Waterford for the exceptional care and kindness Billy received throughout his illness.

Billy will be reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Tuesday the 11th of March from 5pm to 7pm.

Billy’s Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday the 12th of March, at 10am at The Church of The Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Immediately after Billy will be laid to rest in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Tramore. Anyone wishing to take part in Billy’s Requiem Mass remotely please follow the link here.
Billy’s funeral cortège will walk from Lodges Corner, Tramore Credit Union, at approximately 9:40 am to arrive for his Requiem Mass.
