Family and friends remember Breda Wallace as a woman who never lost touch with her roots, even as her journey carried her from Carrickbeg to Portlaw and finally to Sweetbriar Grove in Tramore. With a kind smile and a warm welcome for all, Breda made friends wherever she lived. She was the kind of neighbour who popped in for a cup of tea, the sort of friend who brought people together, and the kind of mother and grandmother whose presence anchored the lives of those around her. Her childhood friends recall the reunion she helped organise years ago, bringing old neighbours and friends together once more, a reflection of her deep love for connection and community. Her warmth, her grace and her gentle heart will remain with all who knew her.
She leaves behind a family bound by love who stood by her side until her peaceful passing. Breda’s children, grandchildren, siblings and extended family can take comfort in knowing just how fondly she was remembered, not just for what she did but for how she made people feel. She was a quiet light, steady and true, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will long outlive these days of mourning. May her gentle soul rest in peace, reunited now with those she loved, and may the memories she created continue to bring comfort in the days ahead.
