Family and friends remember Bridie Prenter as a truly radiant presence who touched the lives of all who knew her. A kind and compassionate woman, Bridie was known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering positivity. Her dedication to her family and her community was evident in her every action. Her husband Ray, her children Niall, Bróna, Mel, Bláthnaid, and Edmund, and her treasured grandchildren have lost a loving and devoted matriarch who brought joy and encouragement into their lives.
Bridie’s impact extended beyond her family. She was deeply cherished by her friends in the Arch Club, where she was a dedicated and uplifting presence, bringing smiles and support to those around her. Messages from friends and neighbours highlight her gentle spirit and her readiness to help anyone in need. Bridie’s community of Tramore and all who knew her in Tyrone will remember her kindness, her smile, and her genuine interest in everyone she met.
A treasured friend, neighbour, and loved one, Bridie’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. Her family takes comfort in knowing how deeply she was admired and loved.
Late of Knockenduff, Tramore, Co. Waterford, formerly of Crancussa, Co. Tyrone. Bridie passed peacefully in University Hospital Waterford surrounded by her loving family on Sunday the 10th of November 2024 RIP.
Bridie is predeceased by her beloved parents Peter and Alice McNally.
Bridie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving husband Ray, her devoted children Niall, Bróna, Mel, Bláthnaid and Edmund; her treasured grandchildren Ódhran, Cara, Darragh, Rua, Isobel, Arlan, Enya, Indi Rae and Harlow; her sisters Ann, Kay, and Bernadette and her brothers Michael and Pete; her sons-in-law John and Darren and her daughter-in-law Karen. She will be forever missed by all her nieces and her nephews all her relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours, her many friends and especially all of her friends in the Arch Club.
The Prenter family would like to thank with great appreciation all the medical staff in both the Cherry Ward and the Oak Ward in University Hospital Waterford and the staff of The Family Practice Medical Centre, Lower Branch Road, Tramore, for the exceptional care Bridie received throughout her illness.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Bridie’s Funeral cortege will walk from Tramore Credit Union/Lodges Corner at approximately 3:40pm (weather permitting) to arrive for her reposal at 4pm. The reposal is from 4pm to 5pm at The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Wednesday the 13th of November. As per Bridie’s wishes anyone that would like to pay their respects at anytime after the reposal can do so in prayer or quiet reflection.

Bridie’s Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday, the 14th of November, at 10am at The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford.
