Family and friends remember Nellie as a kind, warm-hearted woman whose presence lit up every room she entered. Known for her warm smile, generous spirit, and infectious laughter, she was always ready for a chat and a bit of banter. Whether sharing a laugh at Friday night gatherings, stopping for a chat on a walk, or spending time with loved ones, Nellie had a gift for making people feel cherished. A devoted wife to Martin, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her family adored her and will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Nellie’s love for life and people was evident in the deep friendships she built and the joy she brought to others. She was a beloved neighbour, a treasured friend, and a pillar of her community. Those who knew her best describe her as someone who brought happiness and kindness wherever she went. To honour her zest for life, her family invites those attending her Requiem Mass to wear bright and vibrant colours as a tribute to the joy she spread in the world. While she may no longer be physically present, her warmth, laughter, and love will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
