Family and Friends remember Joan as a devoted wife to Geoff, a cherished mother to Clare, Rachel, Lisa, Laura, Arleen, and Alan, and a proud grandmother to her beloved grandchildren. Joan’s kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit were the foundation of her family, creating a legacy of love that will forever remain in their hearts. She will be deeply missed by her sister Barbara, her extended family, and all who were fortunate to know her.
Joan’s care and compassion extended far beyond her home. From the neighbors she connected with in Roselawn to her friendships all over Ireland, Joan brought comfort and joy wherever she went. Her dedication to the Donkey Sanctuary reflected her deep love for animals and her desire to make the world a better place. As her family and friends gather to celebrate her life, they carry with them the wonderful memories and lasting impact of her love and kindness.
Late of Roselawn, Tramore, Co. Waterford and formerly of Fortpark, Bermingham, Tuam, Co. Galway. Joan passed peacefully in Tramore Nursing home surrounded by her loving family on Monday the 30th of December 2024 RIP.
Predeceased by her brothers, Joe and Tommy and her sister, Mary.
Joan will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Geoff. She will be forever missed by her loving and much loved daughters, Clare, Rachel, Lisa, Laura and Arleen and her son, Alan; her sons in law, Mark, James, Enda and Adam; her daughter in law, Lysa. Joan will be missed by all her grandchildren, Chloe, Jason, David, Daniel, Ryan, Adam, Anna, Emma, Liam, Eoin, Nuala, Darragh and Katie. Joan will be forever remembered by her sister, Barbara. She will be sadly missed by all her nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Joan will be reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Thursday the 2nd of January from 5pm to 7pm

Joan’s Requiem Mass will take place on Friday the 3rd of January, at 10am at The Church of The Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Immediately after Joan will be laid to rest in St Declans cemetery, Tramore. Anyone wishing to take part in Joan’s Requiem Mass remotely please follow the link here.
Joan’s funeral cortège will walk from Lodges Corner/Tramore Credit Union at approximately 9:40 to arrive for her requiem mass.
