Family and friends remember Josephine (Joan) Kelly as a gentle and kind-hearted woman whose life was deeply intertwined with her cherished family. A devoted wife to her late husband Gerry, Joan was a loving mother to Liz, John, Carolann, Jennifer, Paul, and Rachel. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom she shared countless treasured moments.
Joan’s warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her gentle nature and unwavering faith were evident in her active participation in church activities, where she organised numerous women’s groups over the years. A true lady, Joan’s legacy of love, faith, and community service will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Late of CúilÁluinn, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Formerly of Moonvoy, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Joan passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday the 14th of March 2025.
Predeceased by her Beloved husband Gerry, her sister Elizabeth and her brothers Walter, Kerry, Noel and Alan.
Joan will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Liz, John, Carolann, Jennifer, Paul and Rachel, her adoring grandchildren John, Brendan, David, Lisa, Craig, Darryl, Abigail, Danielle, David, Ruby, Holly ,Megan and all her great-grandchildren. Joan will be forever remembered by her nieces and nephews, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many friends.
The Kelly family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff in Tramore Nursing Home Waterford for the exceptional care and kindness Joan received throughout her illness.

Joan will be reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Saturday the 15th of March from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Joan’s Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday the 16th of March, at 4pm at The Church of The Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Immediately after Joan will be laid to rest in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Tramore. Anyone wishing to take part in Joan’s Requiem Mass remotely, please follow the link here.
Joan’s funeral cortège will walk from Lodges Corner, Tramore Credit Union, at approximately 3:40 pm to arrive for her Requiem Mass.
