Family and friends share warm memories of Maureen as a woman whose laughter and kindness were boundless. She was deeply cherished by her husband, Tony, and her children, Simon and Ashlynn, who recall her as the heart of their family. Her grandchildren, Zach and Kristian, will carry forward her legacy of love and care, while her brothers Jamie and Michael remember her with great affection.
Maureen had a remarkable ability to bring people together, whether through her dedication to her work at The Majestic Hotel or her joyful presence in Beech Park. Her neighbours and friends describe her as a woman whose smile was ever-present, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. Her presence lit up any room, making everyone around her feel welcome and appreciated.
As those close to Maureen recount, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion and strength. From the late-night conversations filled with laughter to the professionalism and warmth she displayed in every interaction, Maureen will forever be remembered as someone who touched lives with grace and kindness.
Late of Beech Park, Tramore, Co. Waterford formerly of Luton, UK, and formerly of The Majestic Hotel, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Maureen passed peacefully in University Hospital Waterford surrounded by her loving family on Friday the 18th of October 2024 RIP.
Maureen is predeceased by her loving brothers Peter and Tony; her sister-in-law May and her brother-in-law Frank.
Maureen will be sadly missed by her loving and heartbroken husband Tony, her loving children Simon and Ashlynn, her adoring grandchildren Zach and Kristian; her brothers Jamie and Michael; her daughter-in-law Bernadette and her nieces Michelle and Donna. She will be forever missed by all her relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many many friends.
The Walsh family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff in Tramore Nursing Home and all the staff in Medical 7 in University Hospital Waterford for the exceptional and loving care Maureen received throughout her illness.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Maureen will be reposing at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, X91TW21 on Monday the 21st of October, from 5pm to 7pm.
All are welcome.
As per Maureen’s wishes a private Cremation Service will take place at a later date.
