Family and friends remember Michael as a kind, caring, and devoted gentleman whose greatest joy was his family. A loving husband to Marion and a proud father to Michael, Deirdre, Claire, and Muireann, he found his greatest happiness in his treasured grandchildren. His warmth, wisdom, and gentle humour will forever remain in their hearts. Michael’s dedication to his career with the Department of Agriculture earned him the respect of colleagues and farmers alike, as he was always willing to go the extra mile to help those in need.
Beyond his work, Michael was deeply rooted in his community, always offering a listening ear, quiet encouragement, or a helping hand. A talented footballer in his younger years, he carried that same spirit into life – loyal, fair, and always looking out for others. A true gentleman with a heart of gold, his warmth and kindness will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
