Family and friends remember Patrick “Paddy” Ganly as a man of warmth, kindness, and integrity. He was known for his gentle nature and sincere demeanor, often described as a true gentleman. Paddy had a talent for engaging conversations, sharing stories with wit and good humor. His presence brought joy to those around him, whether through his musical contributions to the Lady Desart Choir or his participation in the Stoneyford Active Retirement Group, where he shared his paintings, poetry, and storytelling. ​

Paddy’s commitment to his community was evident in his daily interactions, from friendly chats at local shops to meaningful conversations around the fire in Ennisnag. His legacy is one of compassion, creativity, and a life well-lived, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Late of Shanwalla, Ennisnag, Co. Kilkenny. Formerly of Glenageary, Co. Dublin. Paddy passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday the 16th of April 2025. RIP.

Predeceased by his beloved sister Mary.

Paddy will be sadly missed by his loving wife Colette, his children Michelle, David, and Simon; his adoring grandchildren Caoimhe, Jack, Austin, and Luke; his brother Jody; his daughter-in-law Louise; and his son-in-law John. Paddy will be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews, relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many many friends.

Paddy will be reposing at his residence R95Y2E0 on Friday the 18th of April from 2:30pm and will conclude with prayers at 5:30pm

Paddy’s Funeral Service will take place on Saturday the 19th of April at 10am in St. Peter’s Church, Ennisnag, Co. Kilkenny

As per Paddy’s wishes, his Cremation Service will take place in Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross at 4pm

Paddy’s Funeral Cortege will walk from his residence at approximately 09:30 (weather permitting) to arrive for his Funeral service at 10am
