Family and friends remember Philomena as a beacon of compassion and dedication. Her career as a nurse was marked by professionalism and an unwavering commitment to patient care, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and patients alike. Beyond her professional life, Philomena’s involvement with the Donegal Golf Club, where she served as a past captain, showcased her leadership and passion for community engagement. Her warm demeanor and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In her personal life, Philomena was the cornerstone of her family, providing unwavering support and love. Her legacy is reflected in the cherished memories shared by her children, grandchildren, and extended family. The outpouring of condolences highlights the profound impact she had on our community and the void her passing has left. As we honour her memory, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with compassion, dedication, and love.
Late of Doneraile Place, Tramore, Co. Waterford and Donegal Town, Co. Donegal. Philomena passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday the 12th of April 2025.
Predeceased by her Beloved husband Michael.
Philomena will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children John, Mary, Trish, Michael, and Declan; and her adoring grandchildren Ciara, Liam, Holly, Ailish, Rory, Olivia, Áine, and Molly. Philomena will be forever remembered by her nieces and nephews, in-laws, relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours, and many friends.

Philomena will be reposing at her residence X91WK11, Tramore, Co. Waterford on Monday the 14th of April from 5pm to 7pm.

Philomena’s Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday the 15th of April, at 10am at The Church of The Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Anyone wishing to take part in Philomena’s Requiem Mass remotely please follow the link here.
As per Philomena’s wishes a private Cremation Service will take place at a later date.
Philomena’s funeral cortège will walk from Lodges Corner, Tramore Credit Union, at approximately 9:40 am to arrive for her Requiem Mass.
