Family and friends remember Sean Kevin O’Connor, affectionately known as “Mugger,” as a kind-hearted and charismatic soul who enriched the lives of everyone he met. His passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his devoted wife Lyn, his loving children Aimie, Ben, Leigh, Shannen, Courtney, and Zak, and his adoring grandchildren. Sean’s warmth, humour, and innate ability to make people feel valued defined his character, and he will always be remembered as a true gentleman who brought light and laughter wherever he went.
Sean was deeply cherished for his unwavering kindness, his quick wit, and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether sharing a laugh, offering a kind word, or simply being there for others, he left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him. As his family navigates this immense loss, they are comforted by the shared memories and love from all who had the privilege of calling Sean a friend. His gentle spirit and legacy of love will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched.
Late of Westbrook, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Formerly of Queen Street, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Sean passed peacefully in Tramore Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family on Monday the 20th of January 2025 RIP.
Predeceased by his beloved parents Maureen and Kevin.
Sean will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife, Lyn, his loving and much loved children Aimie, Ben, Leigh, Shannen, Courtney and Zak; his adoring grandchildren Alexi, Jack, Indie, Conor, Alice, Charlie and Maeve; his brother and his three sisters. He will be forever missed by all his nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours and many many friends.
Sean’s family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff in Tramore Nursing Home for the exceptional care Sean received throughout his time there.

Sean’s prayer service will take place in Falconer’s Funeral Home, Tramore on Friday 24th of January from 10:30am to 10:45am. At the conclusion of the prayer service the Parlour will be open to the public to pay their condolences until 12:45 pm. Due to the onset of storm Éowyn, Sean’s cremation service will now take place on Satruday the 25th of January at 11 am in The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co.Cork.
