Family and friends remember Terry O’Reilly as the epitome of kindness and warmth, a true gentleman whose quiet strength and gentle spirit left a mark on everyone he met. Whether sharing a laugh at the Exchange Bar or offering a comforting word during difficult times, Terry’s friendly presence was a constant source of support and companionship. Neighbours recall how he always made time for a chat, lending a listening ear to anyone who needed it, and his courteous manners and genuine interest in others drew people to him naturally. His laughter, his calm demeanor, and his readiness to help underpinned the many friendships he formed over the years.
Outside of social gatherings, Terry’s generosity extended to the broader community, where he quietly supported friends and family alike. His ability to put others at ease, whether over a simple cup of tea or a shared story, highlights the compassion that defined his character. In remembering Terry, people speak of a man who never sought recognition for his kindness, yet whose thoughtful gestures and unwavering integrity made a profound difference in their lives. His memory endures in the countless conversations he fostered and the warmth he brought to gatherings throughout Kilbarry and Ballybeg, ensuring his legacy of genuine goodwill and heartfelt connection lives on.
Late of Kilbarry and Ballybeg, Waterford. Terry passed peacefully in University Hospital Waterford after a short illness on Thursday the 29th of May 2025. RIP.
Predeceased by his beloved parents Tom and Ellen, sisters Kitty and Molly and his brothers Mick and Thumb.
Terry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Nora, his loving children Thomas, Helen, Kathleen, Maggie and Mary; all his adoring and treasured grandchildren; his brothers Ned, Willie, John, Bimmy and Dooly; his sisters Bridget and Ellen and his only daughter-in-law Dina. Terry will be fondly remembered by all his nieces and nephews, extended family, wonderful neighbours and many many friends.

Terry will repose at Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore (X91 TW21) on Saturday, 31st May from 6pm to 8pm.
Terry’s Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday 1st of June at 11am in St. Saviour’s Church, Ballybeg, Waterford. Immediately after, Terry will be laid to rest in St Saviour’s Cemetery, Kilbarry, Ballybeg.
