Family and friends remember Vincent, Vinnie, Rogers as a man whose kindness was not spoken about but quietly lived out every day, in the way he greeted people, in the time he gave, and in the ease with which he connected with others. Late of Doneraile Place in Tramore, Vinnie was a devoted husband to Betty and a proud father to Mark and Elizabeth, a man whose world centred around his family and the simple joy of being together. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Alice and his sister Dolores, he remained a steady and caring presence throughout his life, someone who could always be relied upon and whose calm nature brought comfort to those around him. His grandson Declan held a special place in his heart, and in those quiet, proud moments, you could see just how much his family meant to him. As many have said, he was a true gentleman, always with a smile and never without time for a chat.
Vinnie will be remembered as someone who never passed you by, a familiar and reassuring presence in his community, known for stopping to talk, to listen, and to make others feel seen. There was no fuss about him, no need for attention, just a genuine warmth that stayed with people long after the conversation ended. Those who knew him speak of a man who was kind, steady and sincere, someone who made everyday moments feel that little bit lighter. A loving husband, a proud father and grandfather, a brother, neighbour and friend, Vinnie leaves behind not just memories, but a feeling, the memory of a smile, a few kind words, and the quiet comfort of someone who was always glad to see you.
Late of Doneraile Place, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Vinnie passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday the 10th of April 2026. RIP.
Predeceased by his beloved parents, Thomas and Alice and his sister Dolores.
Vinnie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Betty, his son Mark and his daughter Elizabeth (Liz); his cherished grandson Declan; his brother Bertie; his daughter-in-law Ruth; his son-in-law Robert and all his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Vinnie will be fondly remembered by all his nieces and nephews, his extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours, and many friends.
Vinnie’s family would like to thank with great appreciation all the staff at Tramore Medical Centre, Summerhill, especially Dr. Dermot Nolan. They would also like to offer their sincere gratitude to all the medical staff in the Oak Ward in University Hospital Waterford

Vinnie’s reposal will take place in Falconers Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore X91TW21 on Sunday the 12th of April from 2pm until 4pm.
All are welcome and refreshments will be served throughout.
Vinnie’s Requiem Mass will take place on Monday the 13th of April at 10am in The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore, after which Vinnie will be laid to rest in Butlerstown Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend Vinnie’s Mass online can do so by using the link below.
